A Coach show the rules of the Tournament

Rome April 16, 2012

The presentation of the “Count Enrico Pietro Galeazzi” Tournament, reaching its XXVI edition, was held at the Benedict XV sports center on April 13th.

Following last year’s important milestone, when the Galeazzi Tournament celebrated its 25th edition, this year the Knights of Columbus Foundation in Rome have again organized a tournament which will involve 29 sports clubs from the region of Lazio and other Italian cities, in categories of Piccoli Amici, Pulcini and Esordienti.

Delegate of Sports for the 3rd Municipality of Rome, Dr. Alemanni presented congratulations for the efficient organization of the tournament and also mentioned some of the beneficial and solidarity matches that were played during the last year thanks to the availability and gratuitous use of the Foundation’s Sports Facilities, which have contributed moments of sporting activities towards the needy.

During the ceremony, representatives of the clubs participating in the tournament, following addresses by the Disciplinary Committee, received commemorative plaques and pennants from the grandchildren and great grandchildren of Count Enrico Pietro Galeazzi.

Unfortunately, the traditional matches which open the tournament could not be played due to bad weather, but were postponed to April 17th and 19th.
