On August 9, 2012 at the Getty Villa Museum in Malibu the inauguration was held of the exposition of the “Lion Bites Horse” marble group from the Capitoline Museums, following a complex process of restoration made possible thanks to the collaboration of the Knights of Columbus.
On the occasion of the 130th Supreme Convention of the Knights of Columbus held this year in Anaheim, California from August 7th to 9th, the Knights of Columbus commissioned Colombo Medaglie to coin a commemorative medal of the event.
Taking advantage of the summer, when there is a slightly lower frequency of athletes due to the closure of schools, works were carried out at the Benedict XV sports center in San Lorenzo.
This year two receptions were organized respectively by the U.S. Embassies to the Holy See and to Italy for the 236th anniversary of the celebration of Independence of the United States of America.
On the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, June 29, Pope Benedict XVI presented a Pallium to each one of 44 new archbishops appointed during the last year among them was the Supreme Chaplain of the Knights of Columbus Archbishop of Baltimore, His Excellency Bishop William Edward Lori.
